Our Story
We're David and Anne Darling. We run Darling Design Presence from our farm in Catawissa, Pennsylvania — 131 acres along the creek where we grow herbs, raise sheep, and run our own businesses. We met during COVID, started building together from day one, and haven't stopped. A skincare line, a knitwear collection, a farm brand, and eventually this — a design and SEO practice born from doing it all ourselves first.
DDP started because the people in our network kept asking for help. They saw what we'd built for our own businesses and wanted the same thing. The question that changed everything was simple: how do we all get found? That's what pulled us into search, into content strategy, into building systems that capture what makes a business special and make sure the right people can actually find it.
We didn't start as a web design company. We started as business owners who needed a website that worked — and couldn't find anyone who understood both design and search.
We've watched too many small business owners pay for websites that look fine but don't show up in search. Beautiful sites that nobody finds. Or worse — sites built on templates that look like every other business in town.
Every business we work with gets a custom site built around their specific services, their location, and how their customers actually search. No templates. No shortcuts. If it doesn't show up in search, it doesn't count.
The Team
SEO & Strategy
David brings a background in systems — mathematics, regenerative agriculture, business architecture. He handles SEO strategy, technical builds, and the infrastructure behind every project. He also designs palettes, wireframes, and client site experiences.
Design & Creative
Anne trained at FIT in New York and studied fashion in Florence and Milan. Her background spans knitwear design, wellness, yoga, and bodywork. She leads creative direction and brand identity for every client — and also strategizes, manages projects, and builds alongside David.
Community
We've wound up attracting a specific kind of client — people who care about stewardship. Of the earth, the body, the mind. Wellness practitioners, healers, makers, farmers. We live this too, and that shared language makes the work stronger.
